I am a bioinformatics researcher and data analyst with an M.Sc. in Biology (Bioinformatics), completed at the University of Ottawa in March 2026.
My work combines Python, R, and Bash with Linux/HPC workflows to analyze genomic data, automate quality checks, document decisions, and produce reproducible results. Across 180 metagenomes, I improved recurring NGS processing efficiency by more than 90% through parallelized, reusable workflows.
I bring the same discipline to clinical research and business analysis: clarifying requirements, validating data, tracing issues, documenting processes, and communicating with technical and non-technical collaborators. My SQL and Power BI experience is project-based, complemented by hands-on scientific research, laboratory instruction, and stakeholder-facing web and data tools.
Core research and analysis capabilities:Investigated viral diversity, evolutionary relationships, and geographical bias in reference databases.
Supported more than 80 students per term in protocol-driven laboratory settings.
Investigated histone modifications in goldfish exposed to chronic hypoxia, combining wet-lab work with structured data review.
Developed and delivered personalized tutoring sessions for high school and college students in biology and chemistry.
Completed an M.Sc. thesis on viral genomics, phylogenetics, and geographical bias in reference databases.
Graduated magna cum laude in the Cellular and Molecular Biology option.
